i've tested lks-wks-2.6.29-alt0.2 and it works fine. Thanks!

NB: i use branch 5.0.

But also on both .28 and .29 i've found another 100% reproducible
kernel oops while dereferencing symlink to directory on ext3 filesystem:

# mount /dev/sda2  /mnt/oldroot -t ext3
# ls -l /mnt/oldroot
.... works fine
# ls -l /mnt/oldroot/_externall
...works fine
$ ln -s /mnt/oldroot/_externall ~/
$ ls -l /mnt/oldroot/_externall
... works fine
$ ls -l ~/_externall/ -> ls hangs

(i will try to get dmesg later)

/home in this case is aufs2-mounted tmpfs over squashfs.
